Situation
This has been a very stressful last couple of days, I received a phone call on Wednesday at 2:00pm Stating that our permit at Valley High School was revoked for the remainder of the season due to Spills and Damage on the track from our program. I showed up to clean the track and was told. "You paid for Custodians we will take care of it. Moving forward no one on the track". The situation escalated all the way up to the Higher ups at the district. The Elk Grove Unified School District was not willing to change their decision or provide me with options. In fact they banned me from future rental agreements for 12 months. I went as far as communicating this decision with both Super Intendants of EGUSD and the Mayor of Elk Grove. With this unreasonable decision to cancel my program. I literally have been scrambling the last 2 days trying to find fields that will accommodate this large program including the parking and restrooms. Also dealing with multiple phone calls and emails to get any answers. Just a level of frustration I've never had to deal with before. With this unforeseen change, I'm going to maintain a professionally ran organized program.

Fields
The game field is getting painted (Lined Up) tomorrow morning. I have reserved both soccer fields at this park. One field for the games and one field for the practice.

Parking
There are 90 parking spots in the parking lot. There is also a lot of parking surrounding the fields and park on the adjacent streets of the neighborhood.

Restrooms
There are 2 Restrooms with 2 stalls in each. Please be courteous and keep them clean we have a lot of participants in attendance and Families. There is no custodian provided by the park. I'm hiring one of my employees to handle the trash cans and restock the restrooms with TP.

Refunds
I'm sorry for the inconvenience of the Change of Location. Registration at this point is non refundable.
Future Of the Program

The Program will continue! Nothing will Stop Me! I have multiple applications into different Venues/Stadiums that just could not accommodate me on such short notice. By next week I will know where our Final Destination will be. Wether we continue the program at the new location or be at Consumnes College Stadium or other Turf Fields. Im working on about 6 different locations that are all promising.

As of right now the weather forecast looks like 65% chance of rain from 6:00am to 7:00am Sunday morning. This likely won't affect our program. Other than the field being wet so be sure to have your kiddos wear cleats for best traction. The program will continue regardless of the weather.

4/21/25 Hey Flag Family Week 2 is in the books. Hopefully everyone enjoyed their Easter Weekend. This newsletter is full of information, Last weeks score, Picture Day, weekly practice, this Weeks schedule and end of the season BBQ Banquet. Last Weeks Scores Scores are posted online when you log into your account. I also have them posted below as well. Remember all teams go to playoffs and championships. Regular Season records will determine who you play first in playoffs. Expect to play multiple games in Playoffs. 12-14 Division 9-11 Division 7-8 Division 5-6 Divison Picture Day May 18, 2025 Pictures will take place During the 50 min Practice Time that day. Followed by then the 1 Hour Game Make sure you arrive 15 min early for practice to find your team and start lining up for pictures. Cost is $10 Includes (1)3.5''x5'' Solo Athlete Photo and (1) 5''x7'' Team Photo. Memory Mate Picture Folder included. Photos will be taken by Spectrum Photography. Pictures will be ready for Pick Up at Playoffs June 1stand Championships June 8th. All teams participate in Playoffs and Championships. There will be no shipping of the pictures. To make sure the process runs smoothly on Picture day. I will be processing all the payments and order forms for each team. Week 2 Schedule
Please run practices for 40 minutes then head over to the field so we can start the games right on time. We fell behind schedule 45 minutes last week. This was due to officials taking a break and hydrating and teams not making their way to the field on time.

Jersey Customization
 Manning from Crafted Print Shop will be out there on Sunday Heat Pressing on all the Customizations for the Jerseys. I want to apologize for the confusion and delay. The Shear Volume and detailed Customization of each Jersey, along with the power and weather at orientation, has delayed the process. Everyone will get a chance on Sunday to finish the customization.

Mid Week Practice
Some coaches have taken it upon themselves to host 1 practice a week for an hour with their team. I'm currently working on setting up practice at Valley High School Wednesdays from 6-7pm. Just waiting for approval from the school and EGUS District. Once approved I will open it up to all participants and coaches. It is completely optional. Look for details in an upcoming email.

Volunteers
We need Volunteers in the Snack Bar just 1 hour shifts. Help with orders, restocking, and working the grill. We also need some help with setup in the morning. I will be arriving at 7:30am Sunday morning if anyone would like to show up early and help. Setup will consist of;  Unload the truck, set the field, and set up Snack Bar.

Social Media and Videos 
I plan on launching Sacramento Youth Flag social media accounts this week. You will soon be able to share photos, post, tag, like and Subscribe to our pages on Facebook and Instagram. I've been so busy the last two weekends. I didn't take even one photo on my phone of our league. So I truly would love to see all the photos that you share. I'm also looking for someone to make a video for us, fly a drone around take some action shots, and get some slow motion action. Funds are limited to pay for the video/service but I am willing to promote your business by providing a banner/advertisement for your company. Awards 
Awards are being finalized and should be ordered in the next day or two. Every Participant will receive a Medal. Each Coach will be given 2 Most Valuable Player Hats. 1 for Offense and 1 for Defense on each team. Coach will decide at the end of the season who deserves the MVP hat. Championship Champions will receive Custom Rings. 

Picture Day 
Currently still finalizing the details on picture day. First Sunday in May seems to be what I'm looking at. It will take place during the Practice on Sunday before the game. Stay posted for more details.

Orientation is Tomorrow! Rain or Shine we will be out there.
5-6 Division 12:00 pm
7-8 Division 1:00pm
9-11 Division 2:00pm
12-14 Division 3:00pm
Once you arrive look for your coach your team logo on his shirt. We will also have designated areas. The Coaches will check in and get the team gear bag and start distributing orders to players you must sign off for receiving your gear. You will receive Jersey, Shorts, Flagbelt, and Mouth Guard.

You will then have introduction with coaches and meet teammates. You will warmup for about 10 min then go right into the Combine Drills. 1. 40 yard dash (2 Attempts Timed) 2. Throwing Challenge (Throw 9 balls at inflatable guy 3 different distances). 3. Distance Throwing (Throw 3 Balls as far as you can) 4. Running Back Agility Course (Run through a ladder, around cones, jumping over cones, while holding the football 40 yards. 2 Attempts Timed)
That will conclude our Orientation

Excited to Announce that an NFL Flag Jersey order was Placed for 245 Registrations! Registration Closes March 30th Same day as Orientation/Camp. There are now 32 NFL Flag teams split between the 4 Divisions! Extremely excited for all participants to make new friends, get active, be competitive, and have Fun!
-We need more Coaches in every division. If you are a parent that feels like you can dedicate just a few hours a Sunday. Sign up under  Coaching Registration. Stay tuned for a Coaches/Parents Zoom Meeting to take place Wednesday March 26th @6pm. 
-The 32 Teams are set. Registrations are now Limited. There is only 1-3 spots open per team. We will definitely fill Up! 
WHAT TO EXPECT EVERY WEEKEND AND HOW TO PREPARE 
1. Participants must have comfortable Cleats. Soccer or Football Cleats are recommended!
2. Also Participants must bring a water bottle. Apply sunscreen when needed. Football Gloves? (optional)
3. Parents bring a Lawn Chair. Bleachers have very limited seating. Umbrella/PopUp Tent (optional)
4. There are 2 Volunteer Jobs that are needed every game. 1. Score Keeper (Scoreboard Stand) 2. Down Marker (follow the location of the football on the sideline and change the downs). 
5. There will be Bathrooms and a Snack Bar! The Grill will put out Burgers, Hotdogs, TriTip (maybe) ect...
6. We are a Non Profit Volunteer/Community based Program. It's going to take all of us to work together, to have a great time!

We are at 175 Registrations.
We are currently assigning coaches and building rosters.
First Jersey order will be Submitted March 15.
Registration will now close on March 30th at Midnight.
We want to make sure every participant is assigned to a team, and has their Jersey and gear for the first game on April 6th.
